BAGPIPE WHISKEY aka Benjamin Mason lives in Pembrokeshire in Wales. Here is where he creates his own brand of quirky, exotic, lounge, folk, electro. Benjamin uses Logic on a PC, plus lots of various plug-ins, a couple of circuit bent kids toys and an old school casio keyboard. Benjamin is abit of a multi-instrumentalist, you can expect to hear acoustic guitar, bass, percussion, didgeridoo, saxophone, accordian and an ever expanding range of ethnic instruments and samples in the mix.
Influences include: Amon Tobin, Aphex Twin, Bonobo, Luke Vibert, Mum, Captain Beefheart, Sun Ra, just to name a few. Bagpipe Whiskey will be releasing an EP/Video and an album on Parallax Sounds in the future to come. Bagpipe Whiskey was described as similar to Four Tet when playing live electronics and instruments when supporting The Specials show in Brixton, London and his track "Tobias" was voted best track of 2008!
