HITOMI UENO - 上野 日登美 lives just outside Tokyo in Japan. Hitomi is a recluse person and likes living in the rural countryside. Hitomi creates beautiful, peaceful, classical, ambient, electronic folk music. Hitomi is a classical trained pianist which also reflects in her music. Hitomi creates music on her own and plays piano, synth, vocal, and programming. Hitomi's music sounds like Erik Satie, Mum, Lali Puna, and Bjork in places. Hitomi's influences are Michael Nyman, Joseph-Maurice Ravel, Stereolab, Steve Reich, Tahiti80, Bill Evans, My Bloody Valentine, 4 Bonjour Parties, Boards of Canada, and many more. Hitomi started an interest in making videos aswell. Hitomi will be releasing a EP of some of her musical works on Parallax Sounds in the upcoming future.
